As 2016 winds down, so does League’s Silver Anniversary. We’re still celebrating by honoring some of our longest running team members. Owners Drew Wolf and Larry Klebanoff grew League with good old fashioned hard work and determination. Inspired by the best of the all-American Lifestyle, League continues to be the collegiate sportswear company that you know and love today due to their resolve.
Meet Rob Irwin, one of League’s senior Production Artists. Rob has been with League through this entire millennium so far— he joined our team sixteen years ago!
When asked about his favorite League memory, Rob’s memories turn to 2001. “The way we worked together after the fire to rebuild,” he said. “We never gave up the dream to have the best collegiate product line out there.” Rob tells us that the people who inspire him most are his family and his co-workers.
Rob’s favorite League product is our popular Victory Falls Tee, the most comfortable tee on the planet. He’s designed many tees during his years at League, but he can’t single out a favorite design he’s created. “In my eyes, every design is a master piece and I’m proud to share it with the world,” he said. “Creating designs that are going to be on shirts for college kids, and knowing that the design will be out there on college campuses and in college bookstores is a great feeling.” Today Rob trains our incoming production artists. “I show them the ropes, and talk about their design process, because they can also teach me!”
As proud of his work as Rob is, his believes his biggest achievement is his two year old daughter, Everly. A miracle baby who was born too soon but fought to be here, she couldn’t be any cuter. “League couldn’t have been more supportive during Everly’s hospitalization and recovery,” he said. Everly’s story explains his involvement with March of Dimes, an organization dedicated to ending premature births.
Rob’s daily mantra is “Every day is a gift.” Here at League, we believe Rob is a gift that keeps on giving. Thanks for being on our team, Rob!
Here at League Collegiate Outfitters we are committed to ethical business practices, corporate responsibility, and in making our team more than just employees — we believe they are family. These commitments touch every aspect of how we run our organization. We’ve done this because it’s the right thing to do, both at our Bridgeport plant and our production facility in El Salvador, League Central America.…
