League’s Starting Line Up: Meet Dylan Platt

Dylan and some colleagues at League.

We’re in the swing of the new year, and we can’t wait to introduce you to more of our team members. Here at League, owners Drew Wolf and Larry Klebanoff grew our company with good old fashioned hard work and determination. Inspired by the best of the all-American Lifestyle, League continues to be the collegiate sportswear company that you know and love today due to their resolve.

Our artists are important team members who help our designs be the best. Today we’d like to introduce you to Dylan Platt, one of League’s  Production Artists. Dylan began here at League as a temp, and we were so pleased with his work we hired him full time in just a few months. “I have been with League for almost two years,” said Dylan. “Before League, I worked at a waffle and ice cream joint part time.”

While League doesn’t regularly have waffles and ice cream, Dylan loves working for League. “I love League’s relaxed and friendly atmosphere,” Dylan said.  “I was so afraid of getting a stuffy cubicle job out of college, and League is the exact opposite.” Dylan loves designing products for League. “I’ve worked on thousands of designs at this point,” he said. “I love everything I’ve designed!”

Dylan is a fitness buff, and works out with his colleagues. “League’s bootcamp program has me in better shape than I ever have been!” This is surprising, considering Dylan’s background as a dancer. “I started breakdancing in middle school through high school,” he tells us. “I made it on the dance team in college, and I still take hip-hop classes once or twice a week.”

When it’s time to relax, Dylan likes to play video games. “I’ll be honest, I’m a bit of a gamer,” he told us. ” Always have been.” We suspect he often wears his favorite League product—our Men’s Collegiate Jogger — while he plays. Other than gaming, Dylan enjoys spending time with his boyfriend and friends.

Dylan’s daily mantra is a good one in these times. It’s from Mark Twain, and it says, “I’ve had a lot of worries in my life, most of which never happened.”

Dylan, we are thrilled you’re part of the team here at League. Thank you!

Fall 2017 Photo Shoot at Lehigh University

Each time League prepares to shoot a new catalog, we begin to scout for the perfect location. This year we were excited to do our shoot at Lehigh University, nestled in the hills of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania.

Lehigh University is a premier research university and home to 7,000 students. Located just an hour’s drive from both New York City and Philadelphia, Lehigh’s campus offers students a vibrant course schedule with smaller class sizes.

One of the beautiful buildings on Lehigh’s campus.

Lehigh’s brown and white look great on our League garments, and we love the legend behind the colors. According to Lehigh, “Folklore offers up one suggestion: A woman wearing fashionable brown and white stockings crossed the path of a group of men discussing school colors and, as they say, the rest is history.”

Besides its great research programs, Lehigh is also one of the two contenders in our nation’s oldest football rivalry along with Lafayette University, located just twenty miles away. “The Lehigh-Lafayette football game is the most-played college football rivalry in the nation. The two teams took to the gridiron in 1884, a mere one year after standardized football rules were established. The teams have met every year since 1897,” Lehigh told us.

The rivalry isn’t always this friendly.

We loved visiting the campus and enjoyed all it had to offer. Thank you, Lehigh University, for being so generous with your space and time. Your beautiful really makes League products shine!
