League’s Starting Line Up, Sales Team Edition: Cari Callahan

League’s success has always been a team effort, and it’s a pleasure to recognize those whose hard work and perseverance have helped us get where we are today. We’re especially pleased to honor our Sales Reps who sell League. Today we’d love to introduce you to Cari Callahan!

Cari started representing both League in December of 2014. Not surprisingly, like most of our team reps, she loves League-wear.  Cari’s favorite item is the BT300 long-sleeve pocket tee, which she is quick to praise as, “So comfortable!”

When we asked Cari to tell us what her customers say about League, she again brought up the comfort factor. “Everything is soooo soft!” she said. This isn’t a surprise to us, given the quality materials and workmanship that go into each garment.

Cari Attended Central Washington University in Ellensburg, Washington, and is an avid reader. She told us that her most recent read was the best-selling novel by Melissa Bank, titled The Girls’ Guide to Hunting and Fishing—a series of interconnected short stores centered on the life of a young woman.

We asked Cari about what she does when she’s not busy with work. “My husband says I always think about work. But really, I like to spend time with my family and my two Great Danes,” she said.  “I also like the outdoors, camping, hiking, and riding my horse.” When we asked about her favorite film, she said, “I don’t watch a lot of movies, but I like series, so my favorite right now is Ozark.

One surprising thing that people might not know about Cari, “I was a long-haul truck driver for about a year.  I traveled from Kentucky to Los Angles, twice per week.” Anyone who’s done that kind of work will tell you it takes focus and dedication.

Cari’s future plans include a DIY home improvement job, remodeling her upstairs bathroom. And that’s just the sort of can-do attitude she brings to every job she tackles.

Thank you, Cari, for all you do for League!

League’s Starting Line Up, OneCoast Sales Team Edition: Susan Kirtland

Many people helped get League where we are today, and we enjoy featuring those who have been part of our success. We’ve grown League with good old-fashioned hard work and determination, and the OneCoast Collegiate Sales Reps who sell League to stores. Today we’d love to introduce you to Susan Kirtland!

Susan started representing League in January of 2015. Like most of our OneCoast sales team, she loves League products. It’s hard for her to pick a favorite product, however.

“This is a very difficult question,” she said. “There are so many great pieces. In addition, as new items are added to the line, my favorites change. Currently, my favorite piece is the 1636 Snap up.  I think anyone can wear this garment. I love the large snaps that run along the neckline, as well as the open bottom, makes it work well with leggings or jeans.

We asked Susan what her customers say about League. “They always tell me that they love the feel of the fabrics,” she said. “The quality of the garments as well as the attention to all the details in the construction of each piece. In addition, people recognize what great lengths League goes to caring for their employees in El Salvador. It is always fun to tell customers all the amazing things that are happening there.  It is always a feel-good story.”

What most people might not know about Susan is she is multilingual. “I speak a lot of Spanish,” she told us.

Susan also recently bought a new place. “I just moved into a new house so I am enjoying decorating my new spaces as well as gardening, photography, and baking. I also hope to slow down a bit personally to enjoy my new house and do some volunteering!”

For 2019, Susan says she hopes to increase her sales and exceed her goals. She’s fueled in her mission by the book Good To Great by Jim Collins. As Mr. Collins says in his book, “The real question is not, “Why greatness?” but “What work makes you feel compelled to try to create greatness?”

We also think Susan is pretty great. Thanks, Susan for all you do for League!

LEAGUE’S STARTING LINE UP, ONECOAST SALES TEAM EDITION: Jennifer Garcia

Many people helped get League where we are today, and we enjoy featuring those who have been part of our success. We’ve grown League with good old-fashioned hard work and determination, and the OneCoast Collegiate Sales Team has played a big part. Today we’re happy to introduce you to Jennifer Garcia, who sells League in Southern California and Arizona!

Jenn has worked with League for quite a while. “I’ve represented League in Southern Cal for 5 years,” she told us. “And in Arizona longer.” Her favorite League gear? “Any of the tri-blend fleece. It is the perfect California fleece weight and I live in the half zip during the ‘winters’ in California. My husband Paul’s favorite is the Victory Falls Tee and the tri-blend Jogger Pant and Short.”

On her wedding day with Paul.

When asked where she gets inspiration, Jenn said, “I can get inspiration from a lot of different places. A run along the ocean, traveling to new places,  a great conversation with my husband and friends, and from my 97 year old grandmother.” She loves running, and has competed in triathlons. Her biggest running achievement was a 70.3 triathlon. “It’s a 1.2 mile swim, 56 mile bike ride, and a 13.1 mile run,” she told us. “It was an amazing experience and took a ton of training.”

Sports have a big significance in Jenn’s life. “My high school volleyball coach Mr. Contreras made quite an impact on me. I was the shortest person on my volleyball team, but with his encouragement to never give up and work hard I made the varsity team as a sophomore and continued to have success as a team captain by my senior year.” She’s a fan of college sports, too. “I do love college sports, and cheer for all my customer’s teams in addition to Michigan State.”

Jenn loves working for OneCoast. “I love the people I work with. I was recently part of a new advisory council, and it was so inspiring and encouraging to come together to talk about the business and share ideas.” She tells us that her goals for the rest of 2017 include League! “I can’t wait to start booking the spring League line and reach my sales goals!”

Thanks, Jenn! We love working with you too!
